You then go into the app and either pay the bill immediately or schedule a payment for some time in the future. When a new bill is available, Prism sends a push notification to your phone letting you know that you should schedule a bill payment. With your billers and payment accounts linked, Prism will now monitor all of your bills for you. I typically pay my bills with a credit card if possible in order to earn points and miles, although not every biller allows you to pay in that way. I linked my checking account and my credit cards. the accounts you will use to pay your bills. Next, you link your payment accounts – i.e. When I signed up, I linked my electricity, gas, cable/internet, water/trash, and credit cards. First, you link all of your bills with the app. The steps to set up Prism are pretty straightforward. The app only works on your phone and there’s no web app for it at the moment. I like to think of it as similar to Mint or Personal Capital, but dedicated solely to managing your bills. Prism is a bill management app that lets you see and pay all of your bills from a single app. With that in mind, I was looking for a solution that would let me see all of my bills in one place and allow me to basically automate and manually pay my bills at the same time. And I definitely don’t want to get caught paying any late fees. I also don’t want to ever forget to pay a bill. There’s something comforting to me about being able to make sure that my bill looks right before I pay it.Īt the same time, I don’t want to spend a ton of time logging into every biller’s website. While I’m a big fan of automating your finances, I still like being able to look at my bills before I pay them. In this Prism app review, I’m going to go over what Prism is, how it works, and why I recommend it. One such app that I use is a bill management app called Prism. I thought it’d be helpful to share reviews about some of the lesser-known fintech apps that I personally use and that I think might be useful to you. You’ve probably already read reviews about some of the big players in the fintech world- apps like Mint or Personal Capital. And there are some really awesome fintech apps out there today.

I wish there was an option to send high-quality photos to Prisma from my laptop where I do most of my editing.Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a big fintech geek. Either way, Prisma is impressive and should interest smartphone photographers, which is most of us. You certainly won't use it for every photo you take, but when you want an image that gets attention, Prisma is worth a try, and you might be impressed enough to subscribe.

I think Prisma is one of the really great iOS and Android apps. Some GUI oddities. Getting to my own library shows an up-swipe icon, but it's really a tap.Ability to adjust photo parameters like brightness, shadows, and exposure.

Variety and amount of filters in the free version is generous. The beauty and artistry of the renders. It's also worthwhile to support the incredible work they have done on this software. I've always found enough filters to avoid the subscription, but if I wanted to create higher resolution files for printing I might be tempted. My advice is to try the app and see if you will use it enough to warrant subscription prices which seem a bit steep to me. The Prisma app is free, but if you want higher resolution images and more available filters you can get a subscription at $4.99 a month or $19.99 for 12 months. It should help you get your photo to exactly where you want it. Within each Prisma finished image is the option to locally adjust things like exposure, contrast, brightness, saturation, vibrance, shadows, and even add a vignette. If you don't like that variation, choose another. Once the photo appears you can simply scroll through styles that you find appealing. Take a photo using Prisma, or give it permission to access your photo library. Edit times including Internet transport are usually around 20 to 40 seconds, but that can vary with the state of the Prisma servers or your network connection. The editing is too complex for a smartphone, so Prisma maintains its own servers to do the work quickly and return your modified image to you. Your photos will come back like paintings in a variety of looks. Here's a photo taken with my iPhone below. Send it to Prisma servers in any of more than a hundred styles, and it comes back transformed into a look I've never seen any photo editor accomplish. So what does Prisma do exactly? Give it any photo on your camera roll, or take a photo any time. Of course, that's not to say your photos aren't already great, but Prisma for iOS or Android is pretty amazing.
